What follows is the path traced by Marine Foods in its more than 40 years in the seafood business.

1964
Started out at Chuo-ku,Tokyo.
Started development and importing of overseas marine product raw materials.
1972
Construction of Tokyo Plant (Chofu,Tokyo)
1977
Construction of NO.2 Tokyo Plant.
1981
Joined Nippon Ham Group with a 100% investment by Nippon Ham Co.,Ltd.,
taking charge of the Marine Products Department.
1986
Moved headquarters to 3-13-1 Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Raw Material Department.
Construction of Mie Plant in Mie Prefecture.
1989
Closed Tokyo Plant, and moved its work to Mie Plant.
1991
Expanded waste water treatment facilities at Mie Plant.
1992
Unified 34 sales companies throughout Japan into 6 companies :
· Hokkaido Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
· Tohoku Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
· Chubu Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
· Chugoku Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
· Shikoku Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
· Kyushu Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
Construction of Two building for food packaging center at Mie Plant.
1993
Construction of large-scale refrigeration/freezer facilities.
Opened Mie General Delivery Center.
1996
Unified 6 companies throughout Japan in 3 companies :
· Marine Foods Tobu Co.,Ltd.
· Marine Foods Chubu Co.,Ltd.
· Marine Foods Seibu Co.,Ltd.
Moved Headquarters to 5-33-7 Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Acquired the right to participate in the auction of seafood and other fresh produce on the Ota Market of the Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market.
1999
Increased capitalization to 1 billion yen.
Expanded one building for food packaging center at Mie Plant.
2001
The Mie Plant is certified under HACCP.
2002
The 3 sales companies integrated into The Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
2007
Moved Headquarters to 2-1-1 Osaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
Acquired the right to participate in the auction of seafood on the Kesennuma City Fish Market.
2008
Entered the bluefin tuna aquaculture business in Japan with establishment of Uwakai Marinefarm Co.,Ltd. As a joint company.
2011
Acquired the right to participate in the auction of seafood and other fresh produce on the Tsukiji Market of the Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market.
2012
Uwakai Marinefarm Co.,Ltd. became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Marine Foods Co.,Ltd.
